To mark twenty years of Mousse, this special issue turns the magazine onto itself, tracing the editorial journey that has shaped both Mousse Magazine and Mousse Publishing since 2006. Through a long letter by Andrew Berardini, a self-survey of the magazine’s history, and a curated selection of two hundred scanned pages drawn from books and issues published between 2008 and today, the issue unfolds as an intentionally incomplete atlas of ideas, collaborations, friendships, and artistic research. More than a retrospective, it is a living archive that reflects on the role of publishing as a collective practice, celebrating the conversations, writers, artists, curators, and readers who have made Mousse what it is over the past two decades.
